Core Foundations of Microsoft .NET 2.0 Development Overview This three-day, instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to create Microsoft .NET Applications with Visual Studio 2005. Students learn how to develop advanced .NET Applications. What¡¦s Included?       Audience This course is intended for Application Developers with the skills to develop Business Applications by using Visual Studio 2005 with either Visual Basic .NET or Visual C#. Prerequisites Before attending this course, students must have:
      • An understanding of the purpose and components of the .NET 2.0 Framework and the Common Language Runtime
      • An understanding of .NET Framework 2.0 Common Type System (CTS)
      • Experience using basic File IO Classes from the Framework such as StreamReader, StreamWriter, Directory, DirectoryInfo, File and FileInfo
      • Experience using basic Framework provided type Conversions and Manipulations, using Classes with the System.Collections Namespace and using the System.Math Class
      • Experience writing Code using Language specific functionality such as the My. Classes for Visual Basic
      • An understanding of Classes and Objects, Methods, Properties and Functions
      • Experience writing code to implement overridden methods and writing Code to Declare a Class and if an Object is equal to another Object
      • An understanding of the Class Hierarchy present in the .NET Framework 2.0
      • An understanding of the Lifecycle of an Object
      • Experience Writing Code to Handle Exceptions via a Try-Catch Block and implement Static Methods and Properties, Opening and Closing Solutions and Projects, Adding and Removing Projects to and from a Solution, Creating new Project Types and Adding New and Existing Files to a Project and Compiling a Project and carrying out basic Project Debugging
      • Experience using the Object Browser and the Help System„P An understanding of Assemblies and how they relate to Deployment and an understanding of Creating a Deployment Project
      • Experience Creating Deployment Wizards using the Deployment Setup Wizard
      • Experience Selecting an appropriate Deployment Project based on the Application
